DESCRIPTION:The 2023 Soil Health Conference will be held Jan. 24-25 at the Best Western Plus Ramkota Hotel in Sioux Falls and will feature keynote speakers Dr. Kris Nichols\, Rick Clark\, and Mitchell Hora. \nDon’t miss this outstanding opportunity to learn more about soil health land management practices! In addition to the keynote speakers\, this conference will feature breakout sessions\, discussion panels\, award presentations\, demonstrations\, vendor booths\, student contests\, and more! This is a chance to network with experienced sustainable agriculture producers and experts and brainstorm solutions for your land management challenges! \nEarly registrations are appreciated for planning purposes. Registration for the Soil Health Conference and Annual Meeting is $50 and includes all event materials and meals as well as a free South Dakota Soil Health Coalition membership or membership renewal if so desired.

DESCRIPTION:The Midwest Cover Crops Council’s Annual Meeting will be held in South Dakota for the first time in conjunction with the South Dakota Soil Health Coalition’s annual Soil Health Conference. Join us to learn about cover crop research and advancements across the Midwest during our state reports on Monday\, January 23\, at 1:00 p.m. and continue through Tuesday morning\, January 24\, with additional updates and working sessions. \nThe SDSHC Soil Health Conference will begin at 1 p.m. at the same location on Tuesday\, Jan. 24\, and will end at 5 p.m. on Wednesday\, Jan. 25. Attendees must register for the SDSHC Soil Health conference separately. Soil Health Conference registration can be found here. \nStudent registration for the Midwest Cover Crops Council Annual Meeting is free and includes special sessions designed for graduate students. Students are asked to register their cover crop research poster to present during networking sessions. Posters can be registered here. Students are encouraged to participate in a poster competition\, prizes will be announced soon. \nThe registration cost for non-students is $40. Lunch on Tuesday will be included with registration leading into the SDSHC Soil Health Conference\, which will begin at 1 p.m. on Wednesday.
