Regenerating the Land, Plymouth, IN

August 25 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

The Hoosier Environmental Council and Ancilla Beef and Grain are hosting a one-day workshop on sustainable farming practices Tuesday, August 25, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Lindenwood Retreat and Conference Center on the campus of Marian University, Plymouth (9601 Union Rd, Plymouth, IN 46563).

The event is open to all, but it is especially aimed at farmers, landowners, and farm workers interested in exploring ways to adopt more sustainable agriculture practices, whether on a small or large scale.

Topics will cover:
• regenerative, no-till, organic farming practices
• contracts and lease agreements
• USDA and NRCS programs to improve soil health
• other ways to become more sustainable and resilient farming operations

The workshop also includes a tour of operations at Ancilla Beef and Grain, with time for Q&A and networking.  If you’re seeking guidance on shifting toward regenerative and sustainable farming, want to connect with others taking similar steps, or are eager to learn more about this topic, don’t miss this event! Students and interested non-farmers are also welcome.

Tickets cost $50 and include a light breakfast and lunch.
